Winston Churchill
My story began with letting go of going to law school to become a sports agent, and a passion for helping businesses succeed. In my junior year of college, my original plan for post-grad was to go to law school to eventually become a sports agent. Realizing I didn't really need to go to law school for that and that a lot of the most successful agents are former players, I brainstormed ideas of how to eventually break-in to the industry, and the one that stuck was representing clients and handlng their marketing - needed to get good at promoting and representing somehow.
I started a digital agency in the fall of 2017, called iForOne Marketing, with my partner and best-friend. We helped small and local businesses with their social media marketing and digital presence (websites, advertising, consulting/educating, etc.).
As we started iForOne, we had no idea what we were doing (at least I didn't), but I leared way more than I anticipated. I was still a junior in college, studying economics. While being in school and building/running a business, I tied things together from economics into real life practice.
Anyone knows that small businesses are the backbone of an economy. Being in economics made me realize this on a way larger level. What started as a way that would lead to being a sports agent was now a passion and obsession for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
I started getting into everything online business related. I started e-commerce stores like an apparel store, a coffee store, a jewelry store, a watch store, a general store, phone cases/accessories store, Valentine's Day store. It didn't stop there; I started blogs at the same time, and from the beginning, I was helping a friend build and market his apparel store.
Having my hands in so many different areas really helped me learn what I liked and didn't like, as well as learn a variety of new skills.
But I learned that what I enjoyed most was building businesses from the ground up, helping others build one, and helping small/local businesses overcome common challenges that are relatively simple to avoid.
I rolled iForOne marketing into The Golash Group: a holding company designed to be a portfolio of businesses. These will be ones we start and build, ones we acquire, or invest in. And, it will allow us to stay true to my obsession of starting or wanting to start multiple different businesses.
My vision is to change the world through business by providing resources and services that allow businesses to thrive, as well as having a portfolio of my own, allowing them to have a positive impact on the lives of the owners/employees, the community, and beyond.
